DANGER DETAINED.
NEW YORK, Oct. 2. Isadora Duncan, the American-born classic dancer, who recently inn fried Serge Essenine, the Russian poet, in Moscow, thus losing her American citizenship, was detained with her husband upon arrival here. No information is forthcoming from the immigration authorities why she is detained, but it was intimated that her association with the Soviet Government and her very liberal views on social conventions might lie the cause. It is understood the State Department requested her detention, and the hearing of the case will bo heard on Monday, which Duncan may attend to show the authorities that she is entitled to enter the United States, otherwi.se she will he obliged to return to France, whence she came.—A. and N.Z. cable.
