WINS BY NEW ZEALANDERS. HOBART, Sept. 27. In the boxing finals, in the bantam division, A. J. Rett (Victoria) outpointed V. Nolan (Queensland). In the welterweight, F. Hajison (New Zealand) outpointed G. Neilson (Queensland). In tho feather-weight, C. Purdy (New Zealand) outpointed B. Bistuccia (Victoria). The heavy-weight championship was won by J. Brancourt (New South Wales), who outpointed M. Killen (Victoria), and the lightweight championship by E. Thomson (New South Wales), who outpointed L. McDonald (New Zealand). In the middle-weight, R. Mealo (New Zealand) outpointed W. Smith (Queensland). At the Australasian Amateur Boxing Association’s Conference, Mr Dawson, of New Zealand, submitted a proposal whereby the circle of States should be reduced, but it was agreed in lieu of this to recommend to tho association that tho Australasian championships bo held every two years, instead of every year ns at present, also that a series of Australasian championships be held every two years by all States at present under the agreement. — Press Association.
