OVER TAXATION.
NEW S’OUTH WALES FINANCES. AUDITOR-GENERAL’S WARNING. SYDNEY, Sept. 22. The Auditor-General has issued a warning to the Government calling attention to the grave financial situation, and making reference to increasing the interest bill, which had jumped from £3,500,000 to £7,747,000 within, the past 10 years. He also points • out that the measurable limit of taxation has been reached, and that the State is suffering from the effects of over-taxation. —Press Association.
