EUCHRE AND COMMUNITY SING.
There was a large attendance at the above on Thursday night, and a most enjoyable time was spent. The lady’s prize (silver photo, frame) was won by Miss Desmond, and the gent’s (cigarette case and cigarettes) by Mr AY. Baker. The community singing, under the leadership of Mr J. Grolder, was considered the best yet rendered locally. The singing was accompanied by piano (Mrs Desmond), violin (Mr Simmons), cornet (Mr B. Walls), 'cello (Mr H. Osborne), double-stringed .bass (Mrs Osborne). A tasty supper was provided by the ladies. At the next social the song items will include “Long, Long Trail,” “Let the Rest of the World Go By,” and “Till We Meet Again.” An impromptu dance was held at the conclusion.
