Clemenceau, in a‘ statement regarding his American t-our, said lie would ieei bound, in justice to Britain, to devote a large part of his speeches to what that powerful ally had accomplished for humanity. He would retrain from comment on 51. Poincare’s reparation policy and say nothing about the Allied debts. The main object of his speeches would be to show the Americans that they were wrong in not supporting the Allies in peace us in war.—A. and N.Z. cable.
