FOOTBALERS’ BALL.
The folio-wing is a list of the fancy dresses worn at the recent ball. Some of the make-ups were very amusing. The names of the prize-winners were published in a previous issue. The judges were Messrs HombTow, Perreau and Hutchinson. It would be ungracious on our part not to make special mention of the charming young lady who represented the “Manawatu Herald,” Miss Parkin. Perhaps there was no dress more closely scanned or afforded more interest. The following is the list: — Miss Ryder (Levin), “Sunshade girl”; Miss Scad'den, “Dutch girl”; Miss Griffin, “Spanish Dancer”; Miss H. Morgan, “Lady Footballer” ; Miss Small, “Pierette”; Miss D.
