Spiers insert a thanks notice elsewhere in this issue. The annual general meeting of the local Lawn Tennis Club will be held on Tuesday evening next. Particulars of train arrangements for the Manawatu Hunt Club Races at Palmerston North on 20th instant ax-e advertised in this issue. The Labour candidate for Manawatu (Mr F. D. Whibley) will speak in the open air (in front of the Town Hall) to-night at 7.30 o’clock.
