PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

The quarterly and annual meeting of managers of the Foxton charge of the Presbyterian Church was held in the local church yesterday. The meeting was fully representative, fourteen delegates being in attendance. The Rev. Frank McDonald (Moderator) presided. The balance-sheet for the year ending June 30th, which disclosed a credit balance, was presented and adopted. Alterations to the manse property were discussed and the committee paid a visit of inspection to the property. It was decided to dispose of a section of land adjoining the manse. The sale of the beach section was left in the hands of the local committee with power to act. Encouraging reports were received from the Rangiotu and Glen Oroua churches. The Moderator said he was considering a scheme of services for Rongotea, Moutoa and the seaside. At the latter place, arrangements had been made for a Sunday school. At the conclusion of the meeting the delegates were entertained at luncheon and a vote of thanks was passed to the local ladies for their hospitality.
