GREEKS TO WITHDRAW.
CONSTANTINOPLE, Aug. 17. Unforeseen circumstances prevented the signing oi the protoool defining the neutral zone at Ghataldja, but Greek and the Allied commanders huvo reached ail agreement under whicli the Greeks will withdraw six miles from the present demarcation lino and the bulk of tne Greek troops will be withdrawn beyond the Kodosto-Midia line.
The failure of the London conference has created anxiety in Turkish circles, fearing unfavourable consequences of further postponement of a Near East settlement.—A. Rnd N.Z. cable.
