Mustapha Djemal Pasha, he said, was one of the three leaders of the Young Turkish Party, which took hold of affairs in Turkey some ten years ago, and, with Talaat Pasha and Enver Pasha, secured the reins of control. Talaat Pasha was murdered by an Armenian in Berlin not so long ago, and the last heard of Enver Pasha (who was the head of the Turkish army during tho war and hand-in-glove with Germany), was that he was being chased out of Russia by the Bolsheviks. Djemal Pasha was (he head of the Turkish bottled-up navy in the war. Ho was afterwards appointed Governor of Syria, with his seat at Adina. “Djemal was the best of a bad three,” said Dr. Wirt. “With Talaat murdered in Berlin, and now Djemal gone, it means that two of the three are gone. They’ll get Enver next 1”
