OBITUARY.

MRS SARAH ANNE MITCHELL, AGED 88 YEARS.

The death took place at the Palmerston Hospital yesterday of -Mrs Sarah Anne Mitchell, relict of the late Mr Thomas Mitchell, at the age of 88 years. The deceased was born at Whitby, England, and came to New Zealand with her husband in 1878, taking up their residence in Foxton for a brief period and subsequently removing to Sydney. Upon the (teaMi of her husband, the bite All's Mitchell came hack to New Zealand and took up her residence with her daughter, Airs G. Wright, of Kavensworlh Place, Eoxton. The old lady had been an invalid for several years and recently went to the Palmerston Hospital for special treatment, She leases six sons, namely: James, Henry, Thomas, Gharles, and George, all of Sydney, and three daughters, Mrs Benehev (Sydney), Arts John Dunnill (TLmartt), and Airs G. Wright of Poxton and 33 grand-children and 37 great-grand-children. The old lady was held in high esfeem by all with whom site came in contact. The body will be removed from Palmerston to-morrow and conveyed to All Saints’ Church, leaving there for the Foxton cemetery at 1.30 p.m. where the iivtorrment will take place.
