GOVERNMENT WILL NOT TAKE IT OVER. Wellington, Last Night. The Premier has informed Mr E. NeAvman that the Government does not intend to take over the Moutoa Estate, near Foxton, for close settlement. Mr Newman had stated that it was reported that oAvners of this property have objected to the valuation placed thereon by the Valuation Department, and have requested that, failing & satisfactory agreement as to values for taxation purposes, the Government shall take over the property.
