METHODIST CHURCH.

The ladies of the Methodist Church held a successful sale of work in the school hall yesterday afteraoon and evening. A good display of sewing, produce, etc., awaited purchasers. The sewing stall was in charge of Mesdames’ Cowley, Honore, and Minitie; produce and jumble, Alesdames Downes and Parker; bran tub, Miss Osborne. A daintily arranged tea room was in in charge of Alesdames Berry, Rimmer and Miss Chalk. Several competitions were got off during the afternoon and evening. The sale resulted in the officials obtaining the amount of money required for the filial payment of a loan. The Trustees have decided to Hold the Church Anniversary services on the third Sunday in August. The annual concert and social being held shortly after.
