A minor collision occurred in Main Street at mid-day to-day between Mr F. Rout’s mail car and a ear driven by Mr “Sheet” Bryant. The former was in the act of turning when the latter’s car collided with it. Mr Rout’s car was damaged. None of the school committees in the South Ward having nominated a candidate to represent them on the Wanganui Education Board, the Board, at this week’s meeting, appointed Mr Alf. Fraser to the position which he previously held. A majority of the committees throughout the dominion look upon Boards as relics of the past.
