MANAWATU-OROUA RIVER BOARD.
DEPUTATION TO WAIT ON MINISTER, A deputation consisting of members of the proposed ManawatuOroua Drainage Board and Foxton Harbour Board will wait upon the Hon. Downie Stewart, Minister for Internal Affairs at Wellington on Thursday next, 29tK inst., at 11 a.m. The deputation will be introduced •by Mr Edward Newman, M.P. The object of the visit is to discuss with the Minister the operations of the Board in a proposal to deal with river protection works and the construction of an overflow channel.
