“Twin Beds” is the screen version of the stage success of the same name by Margaret Nayo and Salisbury Field. The play, a bedroom farce comedy, was extremely popular and enjoyed 1 a long run on Broadway, and with companies on the road, over a period of two years. Mr and Mrs Carter de Haven are starred in the piece. The plot of which revolves about the marital relations of a flirtatious Italian tenor, and the complications ensuing when he gets in the wrong apartment and sleeps in another man’s bed. There is an abundance of clean wholesome comedy in the farce, which is the First National attraction at the Royal theatre to-night. Extra, “Winners of the West.” Prices as usual.
Georges Caipentier, idol of France, whose notable record in the boxing ring has won him fame and fortune, and whose fascinating personality lias made him the idol of two continents, will be the chief attraction on Monday, in “The Wonder Man,” a super feature production. The picture promises an entertainment unique in the realm of the cinema art. Unlike the previous efforts of producers to bring champions of the prize ring before the public on the silver screen, Georges Carpentier is given as a vehicle and intriguing romance of society. The fact that his gentlemanly qualities and his record of valour in the world war has won tlqe admiration of all classes makes the advent of this popular youth into the picture world as a matinee idol a commendable achievement.
