LOST ON THE TARARUAS.
TWO YOUNG MEN SEPARATE IN A FOG.
ONE STILL MISSING
Two young men —Allan A. Bollons, aged 21, of the Telegraph Engineers, and E. J. Ivime, aged 23, of the Post and Telegraph workshops, Wellington, set out to cross the Tnraruas, on Thux’sday. The former is a. son of Captain Bollons, of the Government steamer Tutanekai, and the latter is the son of Mr Ivime, headmaster of the Rongoten State School. ~ They intended to cross the Tararuas to Otaki, via the Mount Hector track.
On Tuesday a Wellington party, under Messrs Vosseler and Wilson, set out in search of the missing men. A party from Otaki also left on Tuesday to join in the search, and expected to junction with the Wellington party on Mount Alpha. News was received at Wellington yestei’day that one of the two youths was discovered in a lint and has reached Wellington safely. Kimc has not been found. The .youths parted on Saturday in a fog. and Kime lias not since been heard of'.
