To-morrow commencing at 1.30 o’clock Hie Foxton Auctioneering Co. will hold an unreserved clearing sale of household furniture and effects on account of Mr H. Meder, who is leaving for Auckland. The sale will be held on the premises, Avenue Road, next Bowling green. The full list appears in an advertisement and includes a number of beautiful paintings from the brush of the late John Veitch the wellknown Dunedin artist. The Moutoa. Era mage Board notifies that they intend to levy a general rate of eleven-sixteenths of a penny in, ,the £. upon the rateable (unimnroved) value of all rateable properties appearing in the Valuation Roll of the Moutoa. Drainage District and to collect three sixteenths of a penny in the £ (being a portion of the Special Rate of yd in the £) on the unimproved value of all properties in the Special Rating District.
