' -i . MATINEES; •< •..-.lt was moved that the Manager be instructed to run a matinee on Saturday afternoon as a trial. - Cr. Coley said that there were plenty of people with children who could hot go out at night but would take advantage of a matinee. The motion was defeated. -‘‘Cr. Martin moved that the manager use his own discretion in regard to the running of matinees on Saturday. ; . afternoons. Cr. Whibley said that the Council had refused to give the management of the pictures to a committee so that it was only a fair thing that the manages l should, have sole control. The motion was carried.
