OBITUARY

Word was received from Toiluipe this morning that Mr F. Stubbings had passed away last night after a brief illness, in the Taihape Hospital. About two years ago Mr Stubbings took up his residence at the local seaside, for health reasons. Prior to that he had been engaged in farming pursuits, in the Taihape district-. He left Fox ton on Monday en route for Taihape, apparently in his usual health. On the Wednesday following word was received that he had been compelled to enter the Taihape Hospifal. He sent an urgent message for his son to proceed to Taihape on Thursday. Since residing in Foxton the late Mr Stubbings linked up with the local bowling club, of which he was an enthusiastic member. He also took a keen interest in promoting seaside interests. Deceased’s wife predeceased him some time ago./A family is left to mourn their loss to whom the sympathy of the local public will go out.
