OBITUARY.
MR. EDWARD KELLETT, M.P.
A Press message received from Dunedin last night stated that. Mr Edward Kellett, member for Dunedin North, who has been ailing for some months, and underwent a serious operation for an interaal complaint six weeks ago, died last night, aged 57. He is survived by a widow and a family of six children, the youngest being five years of age. Mi’ Kellett was a- very highly-re-speeted member of Parliament, and his death, at the.comparatively early vrge*Of 57, will occasion wide regret, lie was elected at the general election in December, 1019, when, standing as an Independent Lbhour candidate, he defeated Mr A. Walker, the silting member. Mr Kellett was one of the original members of the new party formed by Mr C. E. Stnl ham.
