A SEAMAN’S DEATH.
• FOLLOWS EPILEPTIC’ FIT. . Timnru, Last. Night. An inquest was held to-day into tlie sudden death of Henry Thomas Green, aged 57 years, a donkey man on the s.s. Woodarra, who died at sea 24 hours before the steamer readied Timaru on Sunday. The evidence of his mates showed that deceased had been in good health, and never complained. At midday on Saturday lie was found on his knees ■and head on tlj.e floor in a lavatory, and when carried out for the doctor to see him, he was dead. An autopsy by Dr. Gabites revealed no possible cause of death except a small cyst on the brain, and the doctor concluded til (it this had caused an epileptic fit, and that death was due to asphyxiation through deceased falling in a lit in a position that obstructed breathing. The Coroner found a verdict accordingly.
