CONCERT AT RANGIOTU.
The concert held in the Rangiotu Hall on Tuesday evening under the auspices of the Presbyterian Church, was a huge success. The building was crowded to its utmost seating capacity. The Rev. Thos, Halli- . day presided. The programme as a whole was full of merit and although it was announced that there was to be no encores, the audience deamandi ed several recalls. The following contributed to the programme:— Overture, Miss Evans (Foxton); Glees, the Choir; Songs, Misses Bennett, Raeburn (Palmerston North), Seddon, Mrs Allsop, Messrs J., K. Homljlow (Foxton), Seeker, Lees, Illingworth, Smith, McGhee; Violin Solo, Mr Robinson; Vocal Dnet, ( Miss Evans and Mr MeDuff; Pianoforte duet, Misses ; Gimblefct; Quartette and Quintette parties; Item by schoolboys, “The Kangaroo,” recitation Master Anderson; “Waiata,” \and other Maori songs, by the Maori Maidens. 3 ' The accompaniments were capably played by Mesdames Cronquest and Wilton, and Misses Evans, Hodder and Smith, and the children were trained by Misses’ Banks and Evans.
