CORRESPONDENCE
(To the Editor.) Sir. —1 do not wish to cast any reflection upon , those who did so well in carrying out the arrangements for the Anzac service held on Tuesday, hut can you explain why the Salvation Army Officers 'Acre not invited to take part in the service, and why the South African veterans were not included among the returned soldiers'? There was one other matter which has puzzled several besides myself, why the reading of part of the Burial Service? Thanking yon in anticipation.—l am, etc.,
INTERESTED. [A MEETING of all interested to arrange a programme for Anzac Day was convened by the Mayor. It was poorly attended, and was adjourned to a later date, at which final arrangements were made. “Interested” and others had the right to attend the meetings and make any suggestions.' We cannot give a reason for including portion of the Burial Service in the ceremony. —Ed.H.j
