SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTION.
FIFTEEN NOMINATIONS
Fifteen nominations were received by the chairman of the School Committee on Monday night to fill fhe nine positions on the local school committee for the current year. All the sitting committee, except Mr W. Nye, dre seeking re-election. The following are the nominations:: ALSOP, A. ADMORE, A. E. * COLEY, Geo. C. COWLEY, S. E. ‘HORNBLOW, J. K. McKNIGHT, Jas. PARKIN, E. ‘PEARSON, C. A. ‘JPERREAU, M. E. RIMMER, F. ' RANGIHEUEA, Roore. . ‘ROBINISON, P. . ‘ROSS, Jno. ‘STEVENSON, A. - •WHIBLEY, F. D. ‘ ‘Members of present committee, Mr Parkin is an ex-member 1 of the committee.
Mr .A. Alsop, another candidate was a commissioner for the Paekakariki school and an ex-chairman of the Longbui’n committee. The election will be held in the scliobl house on Monday evening at 8 o’clock. Householders will be provided with voting papers, and will select any number of candidates up to, but not exceeding, nine. Householders will leave nncnncelled the names of the candidates for whom they desire to vote.
