CORRESPONDENCE.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —I would like to answer “Another Worker’s” letter, although I do not think he is a worker at all; if he is, I hope I do not work with him, as he would be in for a hot time. If the worker is well paid he deserves it. as he does the heaviest and dirtiest work, and is looked down upon by the so-called society. It is the worker that has the largest familieSj therefore we feel it keenly when our children are disappointed, as they get the roughest time. There was no need for disappointment, only " want of energy. Take the Convent school. They struck bad weather for their picnic, and .they entertained the little ones at the school, rather than disappoint them, 'arid‘the children and parents were well satisfied. There was no bad arrangement thex - e, just because there were women at the head of it. lam not a Catholic, but admire the way they treat their school children. How many children has “Another Worker” got going to school? I think I can beat him. Was he ever a child himself? Perhaps he cannot remember. I still say there would be more children go to the picnic out of Union Street than there would be out of Main Street. I cannot picture the employer paying the worker more than lie earns. Thanking you, Afr Editor, —I am, etc., A WORKER (still working).
