EASTON PARK.
ENLARGED BY GIFT OF TWO ACRES.
At last night’s Borough Council meeting a deputation consisting of Messrs Hunt and Perrean waited on (he Council in connection with Easton Park. They said that they had been offered two acres of land at the north end of the Park for the sum of .C/50. - This sum had been guaranteed from the public, and they wished to make a present of' the ground to the Council, so that there would be sufficient room on Easton Park for all sports. Decided that the Council accept the gift of two acres of land from those interested with thanks, on the northern boundary of Easton Park, and fenders its thanks to the vendor and Messrs Hunt and Perreau for the public spirit displayed in the matter.
