JANUARY WORKING/

; The amount of gas manufactured during the month of January was ' 483,700 c.ft., which, with the amount in the holder on the Ist January, 6,000 c.ft., made at total of 489,700 c.ft. v During the month 394,200 c.ft. of gas was used by \ consumers, 22,500 by street lamps, 26,000 c.ft. by the works, and there was ,7,800 c.ft. in the holder on the Ist .February, making at/ total of 450,50(h) c.ft., and, leaving 39,200 ■f: t c.4t. representing 8 per cent.,’ unac- % counted for. Forty-eight tons of coal was carbonised, yielding 10,077 '■j c.ft. to the ton, and4.s tons 19 cwt. of coke.
