; The amount of gas manufactured during the month of January was ' 483,700 c.ft., which, with the amount in the holder on the Ist January, 6,000 c.ft., made at total of 489,700 c.ft. v During the month 394,200 c.ft. of gas was used by \ consumers, 22,500 by street lamps, 26,000 c.ft. by the works, and there was ,7,800 c.ft. in the holder on the Ist .February, making at/ total of 450,50(h) c.ft., and, leaving 39,200 ■f: t c.4t. representing 8 per cent.,’ unac- % counted for. Forty-eight tons of coal was carbonised, yielding 10,077 '■j c.ft. to the ton, and4.s tons 19 cwt. of coke. The stock iof coal to hand! on. the last day of the month was ll0(tons. \ The earnings for the month totalled £3lO 8s sd, and/was made up V as follows .. *■ Gas sales (lighting) £lO9 10s lid, heat and power’ 45105 15s Bd, coke sales £49 13s-BdJ tar sales £2B (fittings £ls 2s sd, labour services £l, labour fittings. 16s 3d, miscel- > l.laneons 4s 6d, total £3lO 6s sd. v The expenditure for the month to- ' tailed £298 14s Id, and was made up as follows:—Coal £ll9 Is lOd, salaries 1 knd wages £57 10s, services £7 ,7s 9d, fittings £l3 9s Id, meter repairs 6s 6d, meter 15s 9d, printing and advertising £5 1.115, repairing station meter £7 ss, repairs to pump £1 5s 6d r general repairs £3 15s 9d, tools 4s 6d, cartage and freight £1 ■ i 7s, holder connection £lO 6s 7d, house £2 8s Id, disinfectant £3 10s • Bd, weighbridge £1 4s, working ex.penses £1 ‘l6s 3d, sundries £1 17s 2d, interest and sinking fund £59 -11 s Bd, a total of £298 14s Id.
