ALLEGATIONS OF THEFT. Nelson, March 9. Following the fire at Louisson’s, Ltd., on Monday morning, it was reported to the police that sealskin coats had been stolen and that some of the missing goods had been found.in■;an outhouse.-at, an hotel. Further search an dobservation by the police resulted in the discovery of other coats ,and also a clue which led to the arrest of William Balfour Hay, aged 22, a cook erf the hotel, as he was leaving for Wellington last night. Later they arrested Ernest Wairau Broad, aged 17, a kitchenman, on a charge of being implicated in the theft. Accused were remanded till Monday next.
