The dance held on February 24th ' showed a profit of £7 12s, which was distributed as follows: £1 Is to go towards providing a trophy for the winner of the Walton handicap, £2 2s for trophies' to be won outright in conjunction with the Walton trophy,- £2 plus entrance fees to the winners of the doubles handi- ~ cap tournament, the balance of the profit, £2 Bs, to be placed in the general fund. £1 Is kindly by Mrs Sherwood for competition among “B” players was received with thanks, the secretary being instructed to forward a letter of (hanks to Mrs Sherwood. A Yankee Tournament will be held on the courts on Saturday, commencing at 1.30. All players who can are requested to come. Oneshilling entrance fee will be charged each player, the prize being pairs of halls.
