y*Palmerston N., Yesterday. The delegates to the annua! conference of the New Zealand Poultry Association iwere accorded a civic reception by' the Mayor this morning. Mr Merrett, secretary of the association,'said that 70 delegates, representing 13,500 members, were present for the conference, a fact which bore striking testimony to the lustiness of the industry. He also announced that the executive of the association had decided that it would refrain altogether from approaching the Government this year for financial assistance, but it looked for the assistance of the Government in banishing Asiatic egg pulp from the Dominion.
