PLUNKET SOCIETY.
The monthly meeting of the Committee was' held at the Plunket room yesterday. There were present: Mesdames Austin (in the chair), F. Robinson, Pearson, Walton, Trueman, A. Ross, -Chrystall, Christie, Moorhouse, Rowley and McMurray (hon. sec.). The nurse's report showed that for. the month of February visitors to.the office were 41 adults and 40 babies; new cases, 2; visits to homes, 2; long distance rings, 3. Collection box for the month, 6s. Gd. Nurse Bosher is how on 'relieving duty, Nurse Kidd having taken up the work of the Palmerston N. centre as from the Ist March.
On Friday, February 24th, the Committee met at the Plunket room to wish Nurse Bosher “good-bye.” Mrs F.‘ Robinson (in the absence of the president), in asking Nurse Bosher to accept.a.piece of Doulton ware as a souvenir, expressed the regret of the Committee in losing Nurse Bosher just when we had got *to know heri In the work to be done by a Plunket nurse it was a great asset to have the happy way of getting on with the mothers which Nurse Bosher seemed .to have. In reply, Nurse Bosher said jit had been a real pleasure to come to Foxton each week. The progress made was very gratifying. She wished to congratulate the local branch on their room and equipment, and also on the Committee, which had done such good work. On Friday, March sth, a mothers' afternoon was held to enable mothers and babies to meet Nurse Kidd.
