ALLEGED ATTEMPTED BURGLARY.
TWO YOUTHS ARRESTED. REMANDED TO PALMERSTON. At the local police court yesterday morning, before Mr J. K. Hornblow, .J.P., two youths named George Henry Smith and William Broad were charged by the police that on February 11th. they did attempt to enter the business premises of Messrs D. W. Robertson & Co., of Foxton with intent to commit a crime therein. Constable Owen stated that on the date mentioned an attempt was made to enter the above-mentioned premises and as a result of police investigation the two accused were arrested by Constable O’Donnoghue oh Thursday. He asked for a remand to Palmerston. The accused were remanded to appear at Palmerston Magistrate’s Court at 10.30 a.m. oh Monday next.
