WEDDING.
CLTNGBERG—FIRMSTONE. A quiet but pretty wedding celebrated in All Saints’ Church on Tuesday, at 7 p.m., by the' Rev. W. Walton, the contracting parties being Mr W. C. Clingberg of the railway service, and now engaged in poultry farming in the Lady’s Mile) and Miss Daphne Firmstone, of Torquay, England. The bride was charmingly attired in white crepe-de-chene and shadow lace, and wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and prettily brocaded shoes, and carried a bridal bouquet of red roses and pink belladonna lilliesA She was attended bv Miss Kathleen Signal (daughter of Mr F. Signal,of Waituna West. and niece of Mr W. Signal, of Foxton), who was attired in crepe-de-ehene and cream hat, and carried a bouquet of t asters. Mr W. Bullard acted as sponsor for the bride, and Mr L. Bullard as groomsman. The wedding was the culmination of a war engagement (the bridegroom served with the N.Z. Forces overseas), the. bride having arrived from England last week.
