BEAUTIFYING SOCIETY.
There was a good attendance at;' the general meeting of the Society,* held on Monday night. Mr Perreau / occupied the chair. It was decided to continue holding the meetings in the evening, in order to assure good attendances. It was reported that the tennis, croquet and football representatives had conferred re playing areas on Easton Park, and this matter would he settled by the Borough Council and clubs interested. The purchase of a lawn mower was referred to the Finance Committee. The Chairman reported that the
scats donated by citizens would arrive shortly. The Finance Committee was authorised to employ labour either by the day or for a period to weed and clean up reserves planted. A general discussion ensued re planting in several localities, which will he further discussed at a later meeting.
