RIFLE SHOOTING.

Last Saturday a shoot for the Claris Rose Bowl was held, at 300 yards range. The day was hne and hot, with the usual tricky breeze from the left. There was some elevation trouble, and the scores were only fair. Rflm. A. Barnard gained 3 points with a good 44 off the gun, G. Cull gained 2 points, and 11. Hamer 1 point. Scores were as follows: —

Next Saturday the annual competition of West Coast rifle clubs for the Field Shield will be held, on the Hautere range.

The team picked to represent Foxton will he published in Thursday’s issue.
