ROYAL PICTURES.

Those two popular English stars, Violet Hopson and Stewart Rome, are seen in a screen adaptation of Horace A. Vachcll’s book, “Her Ron,” at the-Royal on Wednesday. This is an unusual production covering Ihe lapse of some thirty years with its changes of costume faithfully carried out. by the Broadwest Company. The story, is well known, and deals with the problem faced by Tfwoman who had given the man she loved to another woman who had n claim on him, and then later adopted that woman’s son, bringing him up as her own. Later in life, the wife accuses her of having an affair with her husband, and she is finally vindicated, and the husband, on the death of his first wife, discovers that her love has been his all these years, and that the boy she brought up is his own son. Particularly appealing is the statuesque Miss Hopson in the leading role; her acting has always a charming reserve, and carries conviction. This English offering should prove popular among theatre-goers.

Splendid serials have been shown in Foxton, but the greatest serial of all will commence at the Royal on Wednesday (to-morrow). This will be “The Lrre of the Circus,” a serial of eighteen wonderful episodes, and comprising a remarkable cast of allstar perf< rmers, headed by the dashing da re-deVil, Eddie Polo. It is replete wilh exciting situations, thrilling escapes, amusing episodes, and is all 'gether a splendid story. All the fun and thrill of a circus—hundreds of horses, elephants, acrobats, riders, tumblers, and clowns. Don’t forget,-first episode to-morrow. *
