DROWNED IN THE HEATHCOTE.
Christchurch, Last Night. The body of Harry St. George Walshe, a widower, 63 years of age, was found in the Heathcote River at Woolston. His left hand was tied to his left leg with cord, and a belt was hanging round his ankles as if'both feet had been tied together. In the pocket of his coat was the following note: —“I am getting too old for it now, so the best thing is to end it.” One of Walslie’s daughters lives in Christchurch. Others are in the North Island.
