ROYAL PICTURES.
MARY PICKFORD, TO-NIGHT. “Heart o’ the Hills” is filled with just the kind of thrills, comical situations and deep heart interest to appeal equally to. old and young. In it is Mary Pickford’s greatest role, that of Mavis, the little mountain girl, who is “afraid of nobody nor nothin’/’ and who is ready with fists or gun to fight for her rights against the world. The appeal of the story is striking; it wavers from uproarious laughter to the deepest pathos, and so completely does “the.world’s sweetheart” live her role, that one forgets it; is “only a picture.” It is not. .unlikely that “Heart of the Hills” will be proclaimed Mary Pickford’s greatest, triumph on account of her vivid and faithful portrayal of the mountain girl through her teens of strife to her gracious woman hood crowned with success and love. The prices to-night will be 9d and Is 6d, plus tax, children 3d and Cd, and in addition to the above super-altraction, “Terror Trail”, will be shown. Were you ever falsely accused Made to suffer because someone had jumped at conclusions? Men have fought, and women have sinned for
life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Mary-Horton was as clean and vital as the winds that swept over her New England hills, but she lifted the veil of Honour, and saw shame. See Alice Brady at the Royal on Monday, in .“Sinners.” Also a screaming Mack Sennett comedy, “The International Sneak.”
