ROYAL PICTURES
There are good women and flic “other” kind. In “Blind Youth,” a National picture, at the Royal tonight, one of the other kind has the wife of the hero, Maurice Monpier, at her mercy. As the situation stood, the other kind of woman was married to the artist in his wild student days. She left him for another, but reappeared when and where she was least expected —in New York —just as the hero, having found true love at last, was planning to ask another to be his wife. It was then that the complications commenced —and they were plentiful. A jealous, selfish brother and a society loving mother did their best to keep the pot of trouble boiling. In the end, well, virtue has a way of triumphing finally. As an extra “The Branded Four” will he shown. Prices will be (id and Is Id, children half-price. The Stuart Blackton production, “Respectable By Proxy,” features the Australian girl, Sylvia Breamer, who has distinguished herself in film circles. The drama is singularly well directed, finely acted, and rich in sumptuous settings. Robert Gordon, Eulalie Jensen, William R. Dunn and Margaret Barry are conspicuous. Betty Blair, enacted by Sylvia Braemer, is a fourth-rate actress whom circumstances places in a country home as the widow of a son believed to be dead. He turns up to find a girl he lias never seen posing as the wife he never wanted to see. This picture will be shown on Friday, at usual prices. On Saturday Mary Piekford will be seen in “Heart of the Hills.”
