MAGISTRATE’ COURT.

jEhe monthly sitting of the MagJkrTstrate’s Court was held in the Court Yj House yesterday morning, before Mr J. L. Stout, S.M. . failing to register under aliens registration act. Karl Henry Lundquist was charged with failing to notify his change of address when leaving Norsewood in December last. Constable Owen said that accused was a registered alien, and had changed his address, and not notified the police of the fact. During ' the war he had moved several times, and had always notified, them of his change. Since the war ended accused had moved again, and had not . sent in any notification, of the fact. Accused was under the impression that the regulations had ceased automatically with the ending pf the war. Convicted and ordered to pay /incio hQ ' .. MILITARY OFFENDER. William R. Kelly,- charged with failing to attend a parade held in Foxton on the 22nd September, 1921, was convicted and fined £2, with 7s costs, in default fourteen days’ detention. BREACH OF PROHIBITION ORDER. . V _ William George Collins was charged with breaking a prohibition order. ■ Constable Owen said that on the 25th December Constable O’Donoghue and he were called to the home of Mrs Collins, in Johnston Street. The son had arrived home “mad drunk,” and had smashed everything he could lay his hands ( on. Accused was convicted and fined £2, with 7s costs. BREACH OF BY-LAWS. Thomas Small, charged with riding a bicycle on the footpath in Main Street on Sunday last, was and fined ss, with 7s. costs.

CIVIL CASES. Judgment was entered up for plaintiff in the following civil undefended cases: — Frederick A. Mills v. Jobe and Ronald Healey, £4, costs £2 Os 6d. F. S. Easton v. R. Smeaton, £IOO 15s od, costs £0 3s Od. R. M. Parkes v. A. Pr’ew, £2 2s lOd, costs 13s. Foxton Co-operative Cash Trading Society v. M. O’Reilly, £3 9s Gd, ordered to pay within one month, in default seven days’ imprisonment.
