RIFLE SHOOTING
The first shoot for Mrs Pnrkes’ and Retailers’ Association trophies was held last Saturday, at 300 yards range. Fine weather prevailed. but conditions were not conducive to good shooting. The varying and p tricky head breeze wcie responsible for many ' threes and twos, biit two or three good scores were registered. Following are the scores: —
The second shoot for the above trophies will be. held on Saturday, 28th inst.
A handsome rose bowl, presented b v Mr Claris for annual competition, has been received, and, is on view in Mr Pai’kes’ window. Mr Claris was unable to obtain a suitable cup, but, needless to say, the rose bowl is fully as acceptable, and as gratefully received. The second shoot, for this trophy will be held next month.
