PLUNKET SOCIETY.

At the monthly meeting of the above Society held on Monday, the Nurse’s report was read and discussed. The report showed that 100 visits of mothers and babies had been made at the room during the five days the room was open in December. Correspondence was read from the Poxton Chamber of Commerce, wishing the Society success, an d enclosing a donation of £1 Is. A vote of thanks was passed to the Chamber. It was decided to hold a shop day at .the Beach on Friday afternoon next, January 13th. Promises of fruit, cakes, lamb, poultry, cream, etc., were received from those present.
