The Palmerston holders of the Dixon Cup (Welch, Stephenson, Seifert, N. H, Nash (s), had no difficulty in defending their right to the trophy against a challenging rink from Pahiatua on Saturday, the final scores being.: —Palmerston 24, Pahiatua 14. The Pahiatua rink -was comprised of Hankins, Mexted, Carlton, Walsh (s). A match for the Munson and Barr Cup was also played on Saturday, between Corbridge, Clark, Pastier,
SpoOner (s), Manawatu (holders), and Pearson, Wardrop, Nicholson, Pickering (s), Woodville (challengAr'ers). The result was- a win for the ■' holders by 25 points to 17. - The Palmerston North Club is to be represented at the Dominion ' Tournament, which opens at Dunedin next Monday, by J. Grant, P.
