METHODIST CHURCH.
A meeting of the officials of the Circuit Quarterly Board was held in the school hall on Friday evening last. The reports of membership and Sunday schools were considered satisfactory. The balance-sheet showed a credit on the quarter’s working, the income being a record for the quarter. Mr E. A. Oxley was appointed delegate to the N.Z. Conference, to be held in Auckland next February. The following officials were elected for the year: — . Circuit steward, Mr L. Bullard; society stewards (Foxton) Mr M. "Walker, Mr W. Bullard, Mr G. Huntley, Mr E. A. Oxley; Sacramental stewards, Mrs Minifie and Miss Henry; envelope steward Miss Henry. . Shannon. —Society steward, Mr Byen; envelope and Secramental steward, Mrs Aldeney. Oroua Downs. —Society steward, Mr Shailer. Arrangements were" made for the annual holiday of the minister. The meeting received reports of the Church work from the various parts of the district; all revealed steady progress during the past period.
