New Plymouth, Last Night. A well-known settler of the Uruiti district, named Charles Thompson, lost his life to-day through a horse falling on top of him. He was mar- v ried, with a family. Timarn, Yesterday. A ploughman named Miles, working near Pleasant Point, wasqrusheft by a roller while working in a paddock, and died soon after he was found. &
