FIRE IN PALMERSTON NORTH.
FOUR SHOPS GUTTED. A fire shortly after-midnight yesterday gutted four shops, the property of Mr Henry Doreen, in Main Street West. They were occupied by Gray (butcher), Ricketts (tobacconist), Wong Slum (fruiterer), and Joe Lee (Laundry). The - contents were destroyed, and the occupants are heavy losers. .
