WEDDING GIFT TO PRINCESS MARY.
Mrs F. Robinson, president of the local sub-centre of the Red Cross and St. John’s Society, hns~received the following communication from the Wellington executive: — “The following is a copy of a cablegram received by Her Excellency Viscountess .Tellicoe, from Lady Ampthill, C.8.E., which Her Excellency has forwarded to me: — “Will you invite Red Cross and St. John Voluntary Aid Detachment members .of New Zealand to unite with other Voluntary Aid Detachment Members of the
Empire in wedding present to to Princess Mai’v. Each subscription limited to Is. Please cable tojal sum collected before January 10th, and forward names in due course. —(Signed) Margaret Ampthill.’ “It is hoped that each sub-cen-tre will collect from all Red Cross workers and forward the amount, with names of donors, to me by 7th January,’l922.” Donations may be left at Mrs Walls’ shop, Main Street, or with Mrs F. Robinson, Beach Road.
