TRIANGULAR SHIELD CONTES!
The second round in the Triangular Shield contest was played on the local green yesterday afternoon, in good weather conditions. The recent heavy rains made the green somewhat “dead,” but nevertheless the ample preparation given if during the morning made it very playable. The visitors were treated to ample refreshments,' and altogether a very enjoyable time was spent. Following are the particulars of the games played:—
The aggregates now are:—Levin 145, Shannon 93, Foxton 78. The final round will be played on the Shannon green, when the home team will put four rinks in the field.
