ROYAL PICTURES.
There is no doubt that Owen Moore shines best in faree-eomedy, and in the latest Selzniek .production, at the Royal on Wednesday, “The Chieken in the Case,” he does some of his best work. This expert and vastly amusing faree, in whieh nothing has been left to chance, has much real entertainment value, and moves along at a brisk pace, gathering force with each new and more comic situation. The legacy which the young man cannot draw till ho is fourty-four, or married, and the fact that he hurriedly borrows his chum’s wife so that he can draw-the money from his aunt, combined with his novel methods of courtship of the young lady next door, all go to show that Owen Moore is in his right place, and make up a comedy of mirthful situations responsible for an evening’s amusement. As an extra, a further episode-of “The Branded Four” will be shown. The programmes to be submitted during the remainder of the week will contain the following:—Thursday, “The House of Fatal Love”; Friday, “The Woman Michael Married”; Saturday, Charles. Kingsley’s “Westward Ho.”
